Support in Schools
For the last few years, Sue’s Place has provided bereavement support sessions within schools. We are currently working in schools in Newark and Nottinghamshire offering direct support work and memory/feelings book sessions.
We have also introduced group work programmes within the schools, offering planned group work sessions to help children accessing our services cope with their bereavement and loss. We feel this enables children to also share their experiences with their peers and this often helps with their communication skills and self esteem.
